Report mapped network drives in Inventory

By default, mapped drive data is not reported in Inventory.  To report on mapped drives, we need to add data to the inventory scan.  Please see this help documentation for an overview of adding custom data to inventory:

https://help.landesk.com/docs/help/en_US/LDMS/9.6/Default.htm#Windows/inv_c_manage_software_list.htm?Highlight=manage%20…

HOW TO

If you would like to add all mapped network drives to inventory, you can import the attached "Custom Data - Network - Mapped Drives.ldms" file to your core.  Please note, this is provided as a courtesy, please use at your own risk.  It will not be supported by LANDesk as it is custom work.

  1. Go to Tools -> Reporting\Monitoring -> Manage Software List -> Custom Data -> Registry Items.

  2. Right click and import the .LDMS file.
An LDMS file compatible with version 2016 is now available for download below
  3. After importing, please click the "Make Available to Clients" button on the toolbar.

  4. You can test by mapping a drive or several drives on a device and then running an inventory scan. After it completes, view Inventory for that device and look at Custom Data -> Network -> Mapped Drives. You should see the drive letter and path for each mapped drive.
